先週、東京の浅草でお祭りがありました。私はテレビでお祭りを見ました。
Last week, there was a festival in Asakusa, Tokyo. I watched it on the television.
浅草の三社祭は有名です。大きいお祭りです。
私の父は東京に住んでいます。もう75歳なので、祭りに行くことはできません。大きい祭りは人が多くて危ないです。
The Asakusa Sanja Festival is famous. It’s a huge festival.
My father lives in Tokyo. He’s 75 now, so he can’t go to the festival. Big festivals are dangerous because there are so many people.
でも、父はテレビでお祭りを見ていました。私は父のビデオ電話で一緒にお祭りを見ました。
However, my father was watching the festival on the television. I watched it with him via video call.
ビデオ電話をくれた時に父はとても興奮していました。テレビで三社祭を中継しているから、一緒に見ようと言いました。
My father was very excited when he called me on video. He said, ‘They’re broadcasting the Sannja Festival on TV, so let’s watch it together.’ The live broadcast of the festival was fascinating.
祭りの中継はおもしろかったです。私の父はいつも静かな人なんですが、この日はすごい元気で、ちょっとびっくりしました。祭りのパワーはすごいと思いました。
My father is usually a quiet person, but he was full of energy that day, which surprised me a bit. I thought the energy from the festival was incredible.
