All About This Workbook
• Learning Through Model Texts
This workbook is composed of 20 units covering topics familiar to teens. It
features four characters sharing personal stories and ideas through model texts in every unit. The goal of this workbook is for learners to be able to express themselves in Japanese by reading and using these model texts.
• Developing Writing Skills
Writing skills are important for those who are interested in taking GCSE
Japanese. This workbook provides structured templates to help learners
improve their writing step by step.

Additionally, it includes:
• Around 30 key grammar points for upper beginners, with explanations and
exercises
• Vocabulary-building exercises for each topic
• Introductory exercises for new grammar or first-time topics
• Kanji reading practice in each unit, covering around 150 kanji in total
• Informal conversation samples

Study Time Guide
Each unit takes approximately 30 to 120 minutes to complete. The structure
and length of each unit vary depending on the amount of new grammar and
vocabulary introduced.
