今週は毎日暑いです。月曜日と水曜日と金曜日にプールに行きました。

It has been hot every day this week. I went to the swimming pool on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

私は夏が好きです。暑くても、たいていは大丈夫です。

でも、バスの中はエアコンがないから、ちょっとつらいです。今週、バスの運転手さんはタンクトップの肌着で運転していました。

I like summer. Even when it's hot, most of the time I'm fine. But it's a bit too much on the bus because there is no air-conditioning. This week, the bus driver was driving in a tank top underwear.

暑いのは好きですが、太陽がギラギラしている時は日陰を歩きます。日陰は涼しいです。暑い日に公園に行ったら、大きな木の下で休みます。木の陰を木陰と言いますが。木陰は涼しくて、気持ちいいです。

I like the heat, but when the sun is glaring, I walk in the shade. It is cool in the shade. If I go to the park on a hot day, I rest under a big tree. The shade of a tree is called kokakge. It is cool and refreshing in the shade of a tree.

今週、歩いている時に道で日傘をさしている人を見ました。日傘は暑い日に使う傘です。イギリスで日傘を見たのは初めてです。日本にはいろいろハイテクな日傘があって、便利そうです。これからイギリスでも日傘が人気になるかもしれません。

This week, when I was walking, I saw people holding parasols on the street. Higasa is an umbrella used on hot days. This is the first time I have seen parasols in the UK. In Japan, there are many high-tech higasa, which seem to be very convenient. Parasols may become popular in the UK in the future.
