今週、日本の家族からクリスマスプレゼントが来ました。うれしかったです。

日本の家族は東京に住んでいます。やさしい家族です。父と妹がいます。妹は結婚しています。そして、子どもが2人います。妹は父の家の近くに住んでいます。毎年、2人はクリスマスにプレゼントを送ってくれます。日本の食べ物です。

私もプレゼントを送りたいです。いつもギリギリです。日本の宅急便は速くて、クリスマスでも休みじゃありません。助かります。今年は果物を送りました。

日本の家族への贈り物は日本のウェブサイトから選びます。初めはすき焼き用の肉を贈ろうと思いました。でも妹に聞いたら肉はいらないと言われました。肉じゃなくて果物がいいそうです。確かに、日本は果物が高いから、普段あまり買えないのかもしれません。肉はキャンセルして苺を二箱注文しました。缶酎ハイのセットも一緒に送りました。クリスマスイブに着く予定です。

This week, Christmas presents arrived from my family in Japan. I was delighted.

My family in Japan live in Tokyo. They are a kind family. There is my father and my sister. My sister is married. And she has two children. My sister lives near my father's house. Every year, the two of them send me presents for Christmas. It's Japanese food.

I want to send presents too. I always leave it until the last minute. Japan's courier services are fast, and they don't close for Christmas. It's a great help. This year, I sent fruit.

For my Japanese family's gift, at first I thought of sending meat for sukiyaki. But when I asked my sister, she said they didn't need meat (with a laughing emoji). Apparently, fruit would be better than meat. Indeed, fruit is expensive in Japan, so perhaps they can't buy it often. I cancelled the meat and ordered two boxes of strawberries instead. I also sent a set of canned chuhai drinks along with it. It's scheduled to arrive on Christmas Eve.
