先週ロンドンの町に行きました。お茶と和菓子を買いました。

Last week I went to Central London. I bought tea and Japanese confectionary.

イギリスにフォトナム＆メイソンという店があります。紅茶が有名です。この店に買いたいお茶がありました。紅茶じゃなくて緑茶です。オレンジ入りのお茶です。このお茶を飲んだ人がおいしかったと言っていました。それで、私も飲んでみたいと思いました。

There's a shop in the UK called Fortnum & Mason. It's famous for its black tea. I wanted to buy a tea from this shop. Not black tea, but green tea. It's a tea with orange in it. Someone who had this tea said it was delicious. So I thought I'd like to try it too.

お茶を買ってから、デパートに行きました。デパートの中に新しい和菓子のお店があります。「鎌倉」という名前です。その店で抹茶わらび餅を買いました。

After buying the tea, I went to a department store. Inside the department store, there's a new Japanese confectionery shop called “Kamakura”. I bought Matcha Warabi Mochi there.

去年、ロンドンにできた和菓子の店「鎌倉」はネットで話題になっていました。ずっと行きたいと思ってたので、ついに行けてうれしかったです。わらび餅はやわらかくて、とてもおいしかったです。

Last year, the Japanese confectionery shop “Kamakura”, which opened in London, became a hot topic on the internet. I'd been meaning to go, so I was delighted to finally get there. The Warabi Mochi was soft and truly delicious.

みなさんの周りには、おいしいものや、新しいお店の情報に詳しい人がいますか。私は人のおすすめを聞くのが好きで、よく日本語レッスンの時にいい情報を教えてもらいます。教えてもらったお店や美術館に行こうと思うと、楽しみができます。おすすめされた映画やドラマを見るのも好きです。

Do you have people around you who know about delicious food or new shops? I like to hear recommendations from other people and often get good tips during my Japanese lessons. When I think about visiting a shop or museum someone has told me about, it gives me something to look forward to. I also enjoy watching recommended films and dramas.
