先週の木曜日に、友達と出かけました。いっしょに劇を見ました。戦争の話でした。
Last Thursday, I went out with a friend. We saw a play together. It was about war.
話の始まりはアメリカの博物館です。観客はホロコーストの博物館で写真を見ています。それは1人の軍人の写真です。彼はナチスの将校です。歴史の中では悪い人です。しかし、写真の中ではふつうの人みたいです。彼は軍人になる前は銀行員でした。
The story begins in an American museum. The audiences are looking at photographs in a Holocaust museum. It is a photograph of a soldier. He is a Nazi officer. In history, he is a bad person. But in the photograph, he looks like an ordinary person. Before becoming a soldier, he was a bank clerk.
劇のタイトルはHere there are blueberriesと言います。とても重い話でした。実話をもとに作られたそうです。ドキュメンタリーのような演出でしたが脚本がすばらしく、演劇ならではの心に響くところがありました。
The play's title is “Here there are blueberries.” It was a very heavy story. I heard it was based on a true story. Though presented like a documentary, the script was outstanding, and it offered moments that touched the heart in a way only theatre can.
一緒に見に行った友達は隣の席の人がお菓子を食べていて、音がうるさかったと文句を言っていました。
The friend I went with complained that the person in the next seat was eating sweets and the noise was annoying.
