車でスーパーに行きました。中国のスーパーです。調味料を買いました。

I went to the supermarket by car. It's a Chinese supermarket. I bought some seasonings.

私は毎日うちでご飯を作ります。晩ご飯はだいたい和食です。だから、うちには日本料理の調味料があります。いつも、しょうゆと酒とみりんを使います。たまに、お酢や、ごま油も使います。ごま油は中華料理にも使います。今日はスーパーにゆずのポン酢がありました。初めて買ってみました。

I cook meals at home every day. Dinner is usually Japanese food. So we have Japanese cooking seasonings at home. I always use soy sauce, sake, and mirin. Occasionally, I use vinegar or sesame oil too. Sesame oil is also used in Chinese cooking. Today, the supermarket had yuzu ponzu. I bought it for the first time.

アジア系のスーパーに行くと、ときどき大容量の調味料があります。5Lの醤油は1Lの醤油よりずっとお得です。見つけたら買うようにしています。もちろん、そのままのボトルでは大き過ぎるので、小さな醤油差しに入れて使っています。

When I go to Asian supermarkets, I sometimes find condiments in large quantities. A 5-litre bottle of soy sauce is much better value than a 1-litre one. I make a point of buying it when I see it. Of course, the bottle itself is far too big to use as is, so I pour it into a small soy sauce dispenser.
