きのう、夫と電車で出かけました。きれいな町に行きました。たくさん歩きました。
Yesterday, my husband and I went out by train. We visited a lovely town. We walked a lot.
町の名前はArundelです。広い野原があります。いなか道を歩きました。歩いている時に、お城が見えました。
昼ごはんはパブで食べました。私は魚のパイを食べました。昼ごはんのあと、また歩きました。丘がありました。丘をのぼりました。丘の上は気持ちがいいです。最後にお城に行きました。お城の庭はとてもきれいでした。バラが咲いていました。
The town is called Arundel. There are long fields there. We walked along country lanes. While walking, we could see the castle. We had lunch at a pub. I had fish pie. After lunch, we walked some more. There was a hill. We climbed the hill. It felt nice at the top. Finally, we went to the castle. The castle gardens were very pretty. The roses were in bloom.
Arundelはイギリスの中で私のお気に入りの場所です。自然に囲まれた、古くて小さな町です。今まで3、4回行ったことがあります。
Arundel is one of my favourite places in the UK. It’s a small, old town surrounded by nature. I’ve been there three or four times before.
今回、初めてお城に行ってみたんですが庭がすてきで、びっくりしました。イギリスなのに、南ヨーロッパとか、アジアみたいなエキゾチックな雰囲気です。Game of Thronesのキングス・ランディングみたいだと思いました。庭に、温室があって、温室の中で桃やぶどうなどの果物を育てていました。
This was the first time I’d visited the castle, and I was surprised by how lovely the gardens were. Even though it’s in the UK, it has an exotic atmosphere, reminding me of southern Europe or Asia. It felt like King’s Landing from Game of Thrones. There was a greenhouse in the gardens, where they were growing fruit such as peaches and grapes.
