今日は暑いです。きのうも暑かったです。あしたはもっと暑いです。きのうの夜、すごい雨が降りました。今日は少し、蒸し暑いです。

It’s hot today. It was hot yesterday too. Tomorrow will be even hotter. It rained heavily last night. It’s a bit humid today.

今週はイギリスに猛暑が来ています。きのう、夜中に雨の音を聞いて、起きました。ごろごろ...という雷の音も聞こえました。ときどき、まどの外がピカッと光りました。バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャーみたいでした。

There’s a heatwave in the UK this week. Yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night hearing the sound of rain. I could also hear the rumble of thunder. Occasionally, there was a flash of light outside the window. It was just like *Back to the Future*.

今朝、起きたら、晴れていました。きのうの雨がうそみたいです。今日は風がないから、窓を開けても涼しくありません。家の中はむしむししています。私の仕事部屋には扇風機がないから、うちわを使っています。

When I woke up this morning, it was sunny. You’d never guess it rained yesterday. There’s no breeze today, so even with the windows open, it doesn’t feel cool. It’s hot and humid indoors. As there’s no electric fan in my study, I’m using a hand fan.
