週末、ロンドンの美術館に行きました。デザイン・ミュージアムという美術館です。

I went to an art museum in London at the weekend. It’s called the Design Museum.

今、ウェス・アンダーソン展をやっています。アメリカの映画監督です。私はこの監督の映画の中でロイヤル・テネンバウムスが一番好きです。美術館で映画の衣装や、小物や、舞台セットを見ました。手書きのストーリーボードもありました。とてもおもしろかったです。時間が足りなかったから、もう1回行きたいです。

They’re currently doing the Wes Anderson exhibition. He’s an American film director. My favourite of his films is “The Royal Tenenbaums”. At the museum, I saw costumes, props and sets from the films. There were also hand-drawn storyboards. It was really interesting. I didn’t have enough time, so I’d like to go again.

部屋に入ってすぐ、写真がありました。ウェス・アンダーソンが大学生の時にオーウェン・ウィルソンと一緒に撮られた写真です。写真を撮ったのはオーウェンのお母さんです。この2人は大学の同級生です。

As soon as I entered the room, there were photographs. These were photos taken alongside Owen Wilson when Wes Anderson was a university student. The photos were taken by Owen’s mother. The two were university friends.

それから、映画「Rushmore」のコーナーに俳優のジェイソン・シュワルツマンの写真と、彼の話を聞くことができるQRコードがありました。とてもいい話でした。

Then, in the section dedicated to the film ‘Rushmore’, there were photos of the actor Jason Schwartzman and a QR code that you could listen to him talking.

ウェス・アンダーソンの映画はいつも5、6人、同じ俳優が出ています。

It was a very good story. Wes Anderson’s films always feature the same five or six actors.
