While studying hitotsu, futatsu, ippon, nihon, ichimai, nimai, and so on, the student said, "For masks, it is ichimai, nimai, right!" It’s surrounded by lots of green. It reminds me of Japanese hot springs. We spent a leisurely time in the sauna, popping into the cold plunge pool occasionally. The cold plunge pool is really cold, so just about 10 seconds. After the sauna, we walked from there to a restaurant. We had lunch at a new Korean restaurant. It was absolutely delicious. その店は小さくて、レストランというより定食屋みたいな感じでした。テーブルが2つとカウンター席しかありません。私たちは2人とも、おすすめの唐揚げセットにしました。お皿と盛り付けがきれいで、驚きました。食べたら、おいしくて、もっと感動しました。1時になると、お客さんがどんどん入ってきて、みんな持ち帰りの注文をしていました。まだ新しいのに、大人気でした。 The place was small and felt more like a set-meal dinner than a restaurant. When I tasted it, I was even more impressed by how delicious it was. Around one o’clock, customers started arriving one after another, all placing takeaway orders. Even though it was still new, it was hugely popular.

There were things that looked like Japanese sweets. But they weren’t food—they were incense sticks. I bought some Komeda Coffee-scented incense. Komeda is the name of a Japanese coffee shop. 線香といえば、ふつうはお寺みたいな香りとパッケージで、お墓や仏壇で使います。私が買ったのは伝統的なものとは違いますが、こんな楽しい線香もいいですね。私のうちには仏壇はないですがDIYで作った小さなスペースに夫の両親や私の母の写真が飾ってあります。みんなコーヒーが好きだったのでコーヒーのお線香は喜ばれていると思います。 When we think of incense, it usually has a scent and packaging that feels like temples, and is used at grave sites or Buddhist altars. The ones I bought are different from the traditional sort, but such fun incense is rather nice too. I don’t have a proper Buddhist altar at home, but we have a small DIY-style space where we display photos of my husband’s parents and my own mother. As they all loved coffee, I think this coffee-scented incense will be appreciated.

The Uber driver was Polish. He told us 'Good luck!' Kick-off was at 9 pm UK time. As it was a Sunday night, the pub was empty. We were a group of about ten people. We walked a lot. 町の名前はArundelです。広い野原があります。いなか道を歩きました。歩いている時に、お城が見えました。 昼ごはんはパブで食べました。私は魚のパイを食べました。昼ごはんのあと、また歩きました。丘がありました。丘をのぼりました。丘の上は気持ちがいいです。最後にお城に行きました。お城の庭はとてもきれいでした。バラが咲いていました。 The town is called Arundel. There are long fields there. We walked along country lanes. While walking, we could see the castle.　We had lunch at a pub. I had fish pie. After lunch, we walked some more. There was a hill. We climbed the hill. It felt nice at the top. Finally, we went to the castle. The castle gardens were very pretty. The roses were in bloom. Arundelはイギリスの中で私のお気に入りの場所です。自然に囲まれた、古くて小さな町です。今まで3、4回行ったことがあります。 Arundel is one of my favourite places in the UK. It’s a small, old town surrounded by nature. I’ve been there three or four times before. 今回、初めてお城に行ってみたんですが庭がすてきで、びっくりしました。イギリスなのに、南ヨーロッパとか、アジアみたいなエキゾチックな雰囲気です。Game of Thronesのキングス・ランディングみたいだと思いました。庭に、温室があって、温室の中で桃やぶどうなどの果物を育てていました。 This was the first time I’d visited the castle, and I was surprised by how lovely the gardens were. Even though it’s in the UK, it has an exotic atmosphere, reminding me of southern Europe or Asia. It felt like King’s Landing from Game of Thrones. There was a greenhouse in the gardens, where they were growing fruit such as peaches and grapes.

There were loads of people wearing Arsenal shirts on the tube. 地下鉄を降りてキングス・クロスの駅を出たら、アーセナルのファンだらけでした。みんな、歌いながら歩いていました。大きい通りは人が多くて、歩けなくなりました。でも、裏道を通って、いい場所でパレードを見ることができました。どこを歩いても赤いシャツの人がいて、おもしろかったです。優勝パレードはにぎやかで、とても楽しかったです。子どもやお年寄りも多かったです。 When we got off the tube and left King’s Cross station, it was a sea of Arsenal fans. People were walking along, singing. The main streets were so crowded we couldn’t walk through them. However, we took back streets and managed to find a good spot to watch from. It was funny seeing people in red shirts wherever we went. The parade was lively and great fun. There were lots of children and elderly people there too.

I thought the energy from the festival was incredible.

It was busy, and there was a queue. The person in front of me opened the stamp card app when paying and prepared to tap their device. It’s a case of electronic stamp theft, but I really don’t understand what the point is in stealing something like that.

I’ve also heard there’s a kendo tournament in London this weekend. That sounds interesting. If it’s an indoor event, I can enjoy it even if the weather’s bad.
