私はやさいが好きです。夏はトマトがおいしいです。なすも大好きです。
I like vegetables. Tomatoes are delicious in summer. I also love aubergines.
やさいは何でも好きです。昔はきゅうりが好きじゃありませんでした。今は好きです。よく、サラダやサンドイッチに入れて食べています。
I like all sorts of vegetables. I didn’t used to like cucumbers, but I do now. I often eat them in salads or sandwiches.
今年の夏はとても暑いので、きゅうりがおいしいと思うようになりました。今、気に入っているのはきゅうりとトマトの冷たいソースです。
As it’s been a very hot summer this year, I’ve come to find cucumbers rather tasty. My current favourite is a chilled cucumber and tomato sauce.
きゅうりを1本すりおろして、水をしぼります。ボールに、このきゅうりと、細かく刻んだトマトとにんにくを入れて、混ぜます。これでソースが出来上がりです。冷たいうどんや、パスタや、そうめんによく合います。
I grate one cucumber and squeeze out the excess water. I put the grated cucumber, finely chopped tomatoes and garlic into a bowl and mix them together. Then the sauce is ready. It goes very well with cold udon, pasta or somen noodles.
